Renaissance “Giving Trees” to benefit local children

Wed, Dec 17th, 2008

Renaissance Salons have launched their annual holiday “Giving Trees”. The “Giving Trees” were created as a way for the Renaissance Team and the community to spread joy to those less fortunate this holiday season. This years’ trees will again benefit the children of Big Brothers Big Sisters. Both Renaissance locations, Canton and Dover, will feature a tree. Forty children will benefit by receiving gifts.

Participants can read a short bio on each of the featured children including an item or two that they would love to have this holiday. That childs’ gift tag will be removed from the tree, the item will be purchased and then the donated gift will be returned and placed under the tree. We would like to have all the gifts returned to the salons by December 17th to allow time for delivery to the children.

“We were very pleased with the support from both our team and their families as well as the community last year. Selecting Big Brothers Big Sisters was a great organization to choose because participants could select a child and make that connection. We are very excited not only to be doing it again this year, but with having the new Canton location it will allow us to reach more children in another community.”
