Tod & Diane Carper

Renaissance opened its doors in 1998 in a beautiful historic location in downtown Dover, Ohio. Founded by Tod and Diane Carper with an idea of offering the community a quality experience in a professional environment. From the beginning their commitment to the needs of the clients, the team, and the community were evident.

Through the years Renaissance has challenged itself to become a better version of ourselves than we were yesterday. Upon arrival at the salon you will always be greeted by a friendly client care specialist. You may notice the lack of seating in our reception area, because being prompt is a part of our culture. After a comprehensive consultation with one of our professionals you will receive one of our signature shampoos. After receiving a current style that suits your individual lifestyle, you can expect to receive professional recommendations for recreating your new look once you get home, as well as a complementary touch up with the latest seasonal makeup. We truly believe in full service, from our friendly appointment reminder calls, to our complimentary mini-services.

Our clients have come to expect a level of care that very possibly has been unavailable to them previously. Much of that has to do with Renaissance’s level of education and training that every member of our team undergoes to help insure the “Renaissance Experience”.

Most of our technical team undergoes over 100 hours of hands on training in their first year, before beginning their career path as a designer at Renaissance. With a multi level designer structure there are even more rigorous requirements to advance to each new level. Ensuring that our guests have more choices and our team has a definite career path as a salon professional.

Developing relationships is another core value of Renaissance. With our clients, our team, and or community. Since the beginning Renaissance has been a positive force in the community working with many local agencies to provide relief and promote prosperity within the community. We have received recognition locally from many organizations such as The Red Cross, American Cancer Society, Harbor House, PAL mission, Hospice, and Big Brothers Big Sisters to name a few. And nationally Salon Today Magazine has recognized Renaissance 4 times as one of the top 200 fastest growing salons.
